Jose Herrera’s Finca El Cipres is a relatively small, 3 to 5 hectare, family run farm located in Huabal, Peru. Finca El Cipres gets its name from the Cypress trees on the farm that provide shade coverage, along with sugar cane and banana trees, for the coffee. Coffee production at El Cipres consist of 90% Red Caturra and 10% Yellow Caturra, and though the farm is young in age it is already producing regional award winning quality coffee. Jose and family have been producing coffee on the farm for ~4-5 years, yielding around 4,000 - 5000 kg of SHB Coffees.
